East African Brown Teff Flour
TEFF is a tiny seed native to Ethiopia and Eritrea. It is the most ancient domesticated grain having originated between 4000 BC and 1000BC. Teff is a pleasingly light, uniquely flavored, 100% Whole grain flour. For thousand of years the Ethiopians and Eritreans have used Teff as the main ingredient of their staple food “INjera” - a sourdough bread with spongy texture. Teff flour is extremely versatile as it works as a fantastic gluten free replacement for conventional flour to bake cakes, muffins, pancake, flat-breads & brownies, or use as a thickening of soups and sauces.
